“We are all sick of the Political parties”

There is no polling information on Independent candidates

The polling companies are unable to provide any data on projected votes for Independent candidates.

UKPOLLINGREPORT cover this in their article referencing high profile Independent candidates such as Jeremy Corbyn, Faiza Shaheen and George Galloway.

Having door knocked over 22,000 properties in the Wells and Mendip Hills, I have accurately polled 100 people per day for the last 8 months (approximately 16,000 people).

This is what people say:

  • Hundreds, if not thousands, of life long Conservative voters have said they will not vote Conservative this time. They also say they will not vote Labour or Lib Dem either.
  • 47% of the constituency is new, bringing in areas such as Yatton, Congresbury and Banwell. People in these new areas tell me they are offended by the Lib Dem leaflets they received as they say it is disrespectful to Green and Labour voters and the focus of their leaflet is on the areas of the old Wells seat (e.g. Cheddar and Wells).
  • There are thousands of people that have strategically voted in past elections. They don’t like it and it feels hopeless. They want to vote for something they believe in.
  • There are thousands of people that have never voted or don’t vote anymore.  People tell me that they want to understand what they are voting for.
  • Every single person agrees that the parties need to work together to resolve our long term issues.
